Zebra pattern

05.09.2018

Commander Zebra SAK Snife design. The SAK itself is made in the second half of the 1990s.

This is the second snife I have in my collection; so far I only have two of them. There are several models made during the 1990s and later in the Wenger history. Also special models and variations were made. So far I still believe that the special SNIFE name is because of the name Swatch and knives. LOL, I liked the urban dictionary designation. Well not the other part. I will look to see if I can find some further information about the special name from Wenger information’s. This model is called the Zebra and it is an eye catching design pattern. One I will only have in the collection. The functions are not used very much but it got wear on the handle decoration from pocket carry I guess. This one is also a second-hand store find several years ago. I have not seen many of them here. The snife designs and models are interesting and worth having in mind.

Then, it seems that one single spring/lock plate would not hold the mechanism for both blades on XT. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the response. I think you are right: in fact, the springy section of the curved blade lock is far longer than that of Soldier's bottle opener!

I will have it in my research to see if i can find some info on it with the placing on the gutting/rescue blade. Thanks again. BR
