Ueli Steck is incredible, he also had something to say about how a knife should be. Wenger Brand ambassadors really know what they do.

The construction of this knife is very good, perfect precision. Titanium is very difficult to work with in the production. The blade is a multipurpose tool with screwdriver and opening for adjusting the gear for climbing. One can open with one hand and release the lock in two ways.

To be innovative in the knife marked require much, Wenger did introduce evolution, new Rangers and the Giant knife. The Titanium line is probably the most innovative of all.

At first i was reluctant because of the strange looking blade, it is a working tool for the best speed climber in the world and he use it. So i am sure. Its good.

All the implements is made of stainless steel, the flat screwdriver with cap opener and cable stripper got the Wenger push lock.

On the back of the blade is the part that work as a screwdriver.

The blade got a combination edge, inner part serrated.

Other side of blade, blade also got a half stop.

The opening for bits is very solid, titanium scale and inner layers make it strong!

With the titanium knife a sheath and two bits is included. Also the DVD about Ueli Steck.

It is time for an update regarding the history of Wenger SAKs. When you are interested in knives you pick up some information from different places. I remember when Wenger introduced the titanium line how special this was. It’s been around 10 years now.

There are little doubts that titanium is difficult to work with and require special equipment for the production. I am not sure everyone is aware about how well made the titanium scales are.  The amount of details and factors from the production is pretty much superb. They are beautiful to look at and got so many design details on the inside that I wonder how they managed it? The reason that I show you these knives again is that I have seen knives produced elsewhere in the world by the best possible modern production. The Wenger titanium is not less in any way.

In the memory of Ueli Steck. Rest in Peace.

Greetings from Hungary! Did you know that the head curve "inspired" the Spyderco Hungarian folder?
Exactly by a Hungarian designer who works for Spyderco (I can't remember his name)
