Two brands

Wenger og Victorinox tresag er laget for profesjonelt bruk
Saw angle from the body of the knife. Victorinox 111mm

Victorinox and Wenger philosophies on a large wood saw.

The wood saw is a multiuse function and to have that extra size matters. On the pictures you can see the Wenger and Victorinox 130mm and 111mm category saw.

The construction of the two saws show us a different philosophy on many parts. Both of them are very good.

The teeth are durable and aggressive in the wood.

One part that is extra interesting is the angle of the saw from the body of the knife. This I will talk about today.

The two brands got a completely different angle and this actually influence the comfort of the use, this also influence speed and more. I did discover that the Wenger saw and angle made it more easy for me to cut planks on a very straight line. Maybe this is different from user to user? The Wenger saw is more comfortable because of size and angle.

The Victorinox got an advantage when one needs to hollow out a wood material, I have tested this very well and it is a superb quality on every aspect.

A Swiss Army Knife is a high technology tool and the wood saw for use on wood, bone or rope is really made for harder use. The 130mm and 111mm tools are more made for professional use, they are very well made.

update

I have a feeling that Victorinox used this angle on the tool to make it more difficult  for it to accidental close, i may be wrong.

Hi, good observation. The economy line does not follow the regular line. Some times it is close like the sewing eye can be 1985+ couple years on the economy.BR

For example, if a Spartan economy line has a punch without a sewing eye, is it still pre 85?
