Wenger for soccer players

Here is an interesting Wenger tool and knife. I do not have any special information on when this tool for soccer players was introduced. My information so far is the early 1990s.

It is very typical Wenger to make special purpose functions for different sports. The icon on the scale shows the designation for what this tool was made for.

I do not know about any other knife factory or brand in the world that have made so many special purpose functions for sports, artisans and special purpose tasks like Wenger. This brand never stops to surprise me. I have done much research and the list just never stops, it is not so that a tool is just made as a gadget function. No it is made with the intent for use and that it should work proper as a helpful tool for the user.

This special purpose tool can adjust the cleats and remove mud or dirt on the shoes for a soccer player.

Wenger made a very functional and exciting Swiss Army Knife. Typically you find the models with the cleat tool having the icon on the scale with the soccer player. Wenger was a Company that used several colors for their products. They usually had many icons representing the designation just like the tool for golfers got. SAKs are sportsmen knives and the functions created during the evolution were made to be used. All of the functions you find on the Wenger knives was tested and made for use.

15:33 It is typical that tools made for sports can get extra dirty from use. In general on all functions and SAKs you must keep it clean from dirt, grass and other materials. This is the case with any tool out there. Swiss Army Knives are instruments for whatever designation it was made. To have the best functionality you must keep it clean and ready. The cleat tool works best with some oil for the friction part from time to time.

Many times when Wenger made a specialized function they also had other functions around so you had a set of tools. For example like this model with the soccer player icon. Some of the Wenger models had a much designated package while some icons could be in a more general form and not completely designated or limited. I would for sure believe that this SAK can see more uses but it is a designated SAK. On Sakwiki this is called Footballer 30 so you can find some info there.

Here you see another example on the Wenger ingenuity and also what is a spike wrench or tool. It can probably be called cleat tool as well. This is for Golfers and you can see some additional functions around this on the picture. This is also a very dedicated SAK. I also know that several of these functions have been used for other things around the world. All the functions can be folded in.

The 120mm continued after the New Ranger. They had Patent and not pat pend. I say pat pend first then patent next. But! Wenger did many variations! :)

The old Ranger 120mm is from 1991, on my 1993 it is pat pend I have seen it on 1991 too and Swissbuck as well! Wenger can be a minefield because of variations

It is a superb question. Wenger used different stamps, some because of european laws. Usually the quality and steel is the same. Which is first? Not sure.
