ALLBLACK MOSS D01

26.07.2018 Allblack again

This is my latest Swiza knife and no surprise it is another ALLBLACK model. This is the D01 Moss with yellowish tone to the handle scales. There is something extra with the PVD or coated models, the contrast between the handle scale colors and the black coated functions and liners gives an extra eye factor. It also gives further abilities for the stainless steel and over-all quality. The color on this is not easy to picture for the camera. It came out ok and it is a brave color that is beautiful to look at. Tweezers are included on this model as well. All the way from the beginning when I started collecting, researching and to study Swiss knives I have looked for colors and variations. Colors are very nice and important I feel for the interest. Stainless steel contains Chromium and elements that makes the stainless steel alloy corrosion resistant. In contact with oxygen the chromium oxide will prevent rust and corrosion. The PVD coating will increase the corrosion resistance because it will seal the surface. If the coating get scratches and eventually wear off the stainless steel will be exposed and continue to be protected anyhow. The coating as I mentioned before will be for the appearance, corrosion resistance and wear resistance.

The color shade for this model depend some on the light. On the picture to the right you see the same knife in a different light. I like very much.

The color is yellowish with a touch of green 🙂

24.02.2021 TT03 moss

It also got tweezers

This is my latest Swiza knife and this is the TT03 moss.  The color is the same as the moss model above, it is a yellow/green tone. This depends some on the light and angle you hold it too. Colors like this can give many positive impressions. The TT03 knife got basic functions and the tick-tool. Something that is extra helpful in the outdoors for ticks.

The 120mm continued after the New Ranger. They had Patent and not pat pend. I say pat pend first then patent next. But! Wenger did many variations! :)

It is a superb question. Wenger used different stamps, some because of european laws. Usually the quality and steel is the same. Which is first? Not sure.
